The first step is the quote. In order for us to give you an accurate idea of the cost of web design work we must first establish what will be included, how many changes will be involved and who will be responsible for hosting.

Below is a quote form that must be filled out at the beginning of each new project. It will help detail the scope of the project and give us a better understanding of costs and your budget for the project.

Please keep in mind that all quotes are estimates within 15% above or below their final cost.

WEBSITE DESIGN - QUOTE

Name *

Company Name *

Phone Number *

Email *

Budget *

Give a detailed description of the project. This includes what type of web site it is (i.e. informational, ecommerce, web application, blog, photo gallery). *

Outline the number of sections and what they are and the number of subsections and what they are. This includes classification of products for ecommerce, sections to be covered in an informational site, and the functions of a web application. *

Will you provide the text content or will we?

Will you provide photographs or illustrations or will we? If we provide illustrations or photography will stock images (cheaper) be used or custom images (more expensive) be used? Stock or Royalty Free images have the potential to be used by many other entities while custom images will be more unique in nature.

What is the number of initial concept designs desired (each initial design concept includes a home page and template page unless otherwise specified)? The number of initial concept designs directly relates to the flexibility of the client. Clients who desire a high level of control over the final design will naturally select more initial design concepts while clients who leave more freedom with us, the designer, will select fewer. Generally fewer initial design concepts result in a lower cost. Generally two initial designs is average.

What is the number of rounds of changes that will be completed? Again the client who desires greater control over the work will request more rounds of changes and will pay a greater cost. Generally the minimum number of rounds is three and can go as high as the client desires.

Will you need a Content Management System (CMS)? A Content Management System (CMS) is a web application that allows you to update a site without having any xhtml programming knowledge.

If you need a CMS what areas of your site will need to be editable by you? (i.e. news section, adding products to ecommerce, adding photos to a photo gallery)

Will we need to host the website or do you have a web host provider?

Is there a deadline that needs to be met? Deadlines set within 5 days of the project agreement being signed are subject to a rush fee.

Are there any 3rd party companies that will be used during production? (i.e. printer, manufacturer)
